Since I am currently working on targeting fat loss, I figured at home workouts to target fat loss would be the perfect post!
Targeting fat loss can be hard, especially in a world full of processed fatty fake foods, that taste absolutely delicious. I struggle with cutting back on sweets and snacking. Eating in a calorie deficit is the best way to lose fat. So let’s look at some tips to help you target fat and burn those cals!
Tips To Reach Your Fat Loss Goals
- High Protein Diet– adding in more foods that are high in protein help keep you full throughout the day and, of course, burn more fat. 🙂
- Get More Sleep– I love the sound of this! Studies have shown that getting around 7+ hours of sleep each night aids in weight loss.
- Eat Healthy Fats– Replace unhealthy processed foods with good fats like avocados or nuts! Fats can take a while to digest, which will reduce your appetite!
- Don’t Drink Your Calories– If you don’t check your drinks you may not notice how much sugar/carbs can be in them. A good rule of thumb I like to follow is to not drink my calories, or try my best to only drink water, green tea, or drinks with very minimal sugar and calories! I know alcoholic drinks can be hard (deff treat yo self from time to time) but a good substitute is: vodka + water and add a lemon!
A Tip for Recovery
If you have never tried CBD, you’re missing out. There are so many benefits to taking CBD, including a ton that support workout recovery. CBD can help reduce inflammation, relieve pain, settle your gut and improve sleep quality. Those all sounds pretty important to me!
Think of CBD as a daily supplement that will heal you naturally. I can’t stress enough how important natural things are to me. It is so important to put good things into your body, like CBD.
After a long workout, I like to throw in this amazing lavender kush CBD bath bomb in the bathtub, light a couple of candles and relax! (FYI CBD is not pot)
Now for the workouts–no equipment required! I love to also take them to the gym and play them on my phone to follow along. That way I have a workout planned and can also add in some weights, extra cardio or the sauna!
10 Minute Lower Abs (Burning Belly Fat)
This 10 minutes lower ab workout is the perfect at home workout to add on to a HIIT or cardio circuit!
The days that I don’t make it to the gym, I run downstairs to the little gym in my apartment building. There is very limited equipment so I usually use videos on my phone to help guide me through an effective workout. Abs, especially lower, is where I am trying to lose the most fat. This workout is my favorite and definitely a killer!
15 Minute at Home Ab Shredder
Another ab workout for you, in the case that you have a way stronger core than I, which is very likely. I found this great 15-minute ab shredder! 15 minutes is about all I can take for abs.
I am a visual person so I love these workout videos because you can see exactly how to do each move. You also get a little virtual workout buddy! I don’t always have the luxury of a workout buddy, or personal trainer 😛 so on the days that I workout alone, I always play these videos!
Ultimate Workout for Belly Fat Loss
Belly fat loss baby, my ultimate goal! It can be hard to target a specific part of your body for fat loss, usually, you can not pick if your belly loses fat before your arms or legs BUT I do think that targeting those areas with your workout can’t hurt!
15 Minute Beginner Workout for Fat Burning
Where are my beginners at?! Aint no shame in just starting out your fitness journey, everyone started as a beginner. This is the perfect at home workout to build up your confidence and get you moving when you are just starting out.
It is also a great workout for anyone at any fitness level, which is awesome!! I would like to say I am pretty seasoned in the fitness space and going to the gym and this is still a good workout for me. I think any activity that gets you moving counts 🙂
12 Minute Fat Burning Cardio Workout
Ughh, cardio. I know a lot of people dread cardio days and there is a good reason for it. I get bored easily when doing a long session on the treadmill or elliptical. So thank god that this full body fat burning cardio work is ONLY 15 minutes, cause some days that’s about all I have time for.
45 Minute HIIT Cardio and Abs
More cardio, ughh. I have a very strong love/hate relationship with cardio. Some days I want to go run 5 miles and some days the last thing I want to do is step onto the treadmill just to walk. SO on the days I’m feeling extra motivated and wanna get in a super sweaty cardio session, I am going to whip out this bad boy. HIIT cardio and abs sounds like death by workout…but those usually end up with me feeling the best afterward!
30 Minute Fat Burning Interval Workout
30 minutes is the perfect amount of time, for me. I can push myself through an intense interval workout like this one but not have to give up before the end. If you are looking to switch up your cardio exercises, definitely give this workout a try.
30 Minute Tabata Workout
Another perfectly timed workout 🙂 I have a new goal, which is to complete a HIIT workout every time I go to the gym. Now I know that’s a hefty goal, so I am targeting for most days cause every day is a work in progress. This 30-minute Tabata is one on my list to try and another workout that will get me that much closer to my goal!
10 Minute Toned Arms at Home
YES for at home arms! I struggle the most at coming up with effective arm movements that I can do without weights. If you can relate to that, look no further peeps! This is the most amazing at home arm workout that you can bust out in 10 minutes. That’s a pause between Netflix episodes or while you are cooking your dinner.
60 Minute Cardio Boxing Workout
I have always wanted to start taking a boxing class but they are crazy expensive. This 60-minute cardio boxing video is a great alternative. It pretty much feels like you are taking the class in the comfort of your own home. The best part is it’s FREE. I would 100% recommend trying this one out to get your moving and grooving.
